Terms & Conditions
Website terms · Prepared for legal/operational review. The specific product page and customer confirmation must identify the applicable terms.
1. Seller and scope
THE OTHER MILE is operated by Zoar Ventures, trading reference TRAD/DSCC/005030/2026, with a Bangladesh-first service area. Our public address and support channels are listed on the Contact page. These terms govern website use and orders, alongside applicable product-specific terms and Bangladesh law.
2. Product information and availability
We aim to describe each product accurately using model, size, material, condition, accessories and expected sourcing information. Photographs may be illustrative; the exact variant selected in your order controls. Supplier marketplace listings and inventory are not guaranteed until separately verified. We may correct obvious listing mistakes before an order is accepted; if a material mistake affects your order, we will request your approval or offer a lawful refund.
3. Preorders are not local stock
Unless explicitly marked ready stock, products are sourced from China after the relevant approvals. Two models may apply: Journey Drops with disclosed batch terms, and China Catalog with separately confirmed shipping/import costs. A checkout receipt or initial payment does not by itself guarantee stock or establish that sourcing has begun.
4. Pricing and later charges
All displayed prices must specify whether they are product-only or an all-inclusive delivered price. For products requiring later shipping quotes, transport, import duties, clearance and local delivery may be additional. No extra charge is binding until the customer receives an itemized quote and expressly accepts it. If a supplier price changes before purchase, no increase is imposed without renewed customer approval.
5. Payments and legal safeguards
Only payment options enabled and approved for the applicable transaction may be used. Advance collections are subject to Bangladesh digital-commerce and payment regulations. THE OTHER MILE will not request prohibited advance amounts or process a full-price preorder using a payment route that does not legally support it. A separate gateway/escrow arrangement may be required before a paid preorder can open.
6. Customer responsibilities
Please provide complete contact and delivery information, review the size/specification and variant, maintain access to your contact channels, and respond to shipping quotations within their validity period. You must not submit false orders, misuse payment methods or provide unlawful content. Delays caused by incorrect instructions may require a revised delivery estimate and documented extra cost, where lawful.
7. Order review and refusal
We may reject or cancel an order before supplier purchase where the requested item is unavailable, prohibited, counterfeit-suspected, restricted for shipping, affected by a material error, or otherwise cannot be fulfilled lawfully. We will explain the reason and arrange the appropriate refund where payment was collected. We do not cancel confirmed paid orders solely to avoid our lawful obligations.
8. Cancellations, returns and warranty
Cancellations before supplier purchase, rejected freight quotes, damaged/wrong goods and supplier failures are governed by our Preorder and Returns policies. Optional buyer-requested changes after a documented sourcing commitment may be limited by actual, evidenced non-recoverable costs where lawful. Mandatory consumer rights, including remedies for misdescribed or defective goods, are unaffected.
9. Delivery and delays
Sourcing and delivery periods are estimates, not blanket exclusions of liability. If delays, customs restrictions or supplier issues arise, we will provide reasonable updates and the options required by law and the published order terms. The seller remains responsible for meeting applicable legal obligations.
10. Intellectual property and third-party brands
Site content and THE OTHER MILE branding may not be used commercially without permission. Third-party trademarks belong to their owners. Featuring a branded product does not imply that we are an authorized distributor unless the product page specifically proves that status.
11. Liability and dispute resolution
We are not responsible for losses caused solely by a customer’s misuse, incorrect instructions or use contrary to documented manufacturer guidance, to the extent permitted by law. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Please contact us first to seek an amicable resolution; customers retain access to the applicable Bangladesh consumer-protection authorities and courts.
12. Changes to terms
Material changes apply prospectively, with notice where required. The terms accepted when an order is placed will not be retroactively changed to remove the customer’s accrued rights. Bangladesh law applies, subject to mandatory consumer protections.
